🏁 About Us Welcome to the Speedcubing Club, IIT Kanpur – a vibrant community of puzzle enthusiasts dedicated to the art and science of solving twisty puzzles like the Rubik’s Cube. We are one of the dynamic clubs under the Science and Technology (SnT) Council of the Students’ Gymkhana, fostering curiosity, logic, and hands-on learning.
Whether you’re a beginner trying to solve your first cube or a seasoned cuber chasing sub-10 solves, this is your space to grow, compete, and connect.
🚀 What We Do Workshops & Bootcamps Introductory sessions and advanced workshops for students to learn cubing techniques (Beginner → CFOP → Roux->FMC).
Competitions Organizing both intra-IITK events and officially recognized WCA-style competitions.
Projects & Research Innovative projects like Rubibot, a robot that solves the Rubik’s Cube, and cube-solving software simulations.
Collaborations Partnering with clubs, departments, and other institutes for cross-domain projects involving computer vision, robotics, and AI.

Rubibot A fully functional cube-solving robot integrating software algorithms and hardware design.
Cube Solver Web App An online 3D Rubik’s Cube simulator with solving modes like Beginner, Advanced, and FMC (Fewest Move Challenge).
Summer Project ‘25 A 3-month tech sprint for juniors to learn cube theory, build simulators, and contribute to the club’s technical backbone.
